About the presenters:

Jane Clark is a founding partner of Clark & Gotzler, Attorneys at Law. She has 20 years of human resources, labor, payroll and benefits experience as a law firm attorney, Director of HR at a multi-site Wisconsin company, and as Chief Operating Officer at a statewide comprehensive HR company. At the latter, she directed the human resources, payroll and benefits practice, with for-profit and not-for-profit clients located all over the country.

Jane has deep HR, payroll and benefits experience, and is a frequent speaker on human resources, benefits, and management issues. Over the years, she has partnered with established and start-up companies and non-profit organizations in various industries throughout Wisconsin and the U.S. to provide stand-alone human resources services, as well as integrated human resources, payroll and benefits services. Jane is also licensed as a broker for health, life and disability insurance.

Kathleen joined Clark & Gotzler in 2016, after working as Managing Partner at Garvey, McNeil & Associates, LLC for nearly two decades. Throughout her legal career, Kathleen has represented a broad range of employers and employees, including individuals, non-profit and labor organizations and corporations. She has successfully represented clients in a variety of employment law matters, including wage and hour issues, wrongful discharge and employment discrimination claims. She has counseled employers on employee discipline and discharge issues, drafted employment contracts, employee handbooks and restrictive covenants including non-compete, severance and confidentiality agreements.

Kathleen’s prior experience representing employees and labor unions brings an invaluable, diverse perspective to Clark & Gotzler’s employer clients. While working at Garvey, McNeil & Associates, Kathleen also served as General Counsel to Harlem Globetrotters International, Inc. for over ten years. In addition to working closely with the management team to formulate and implement all personnel-related policies, she helped to negotiate and draft player contracts, sports venue agreements and licensing agreements.
