Tricom Bowls for Kids' Sake

March 5th, 2014

Big Brothers Big Sisters is the nation’s largest donor and mentoring network. The organization matches adult volunteers (‘Bigs’) and children (‘Littles’) from ages 6-18 in communities across the United States.  Big Brothers Big Sisters finds kids living in single parent homes, growing up in poverty, or with incarcerated parents and partners them with a capable Big Brother or Big Sister. The Big and Little get together a few hours every month and do things they enjoy like reading books, playing games, taking them places, and providing advice and inspiration.  It is a wonderful organization that can change the life of a child forever.

Each year, Big Brothers Big Sisters hosts a Bowl for Kids’ Sake event to raise money for the organization. They depend on the money raised to carry out the work of carefully matching adult mentors with children in need and providing support to the child and the child’s family. Partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters through Bowling for Kids’ Sake is a great way to put children on a good path and to help them succeed in school and life.

This year, Tricom Funding hit the lanes for kids! We assembled a bowling team of 14 for the Bowl for Kids Sake and we raised $1,200.00! All of the money will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee. We are very excited to give back to the community in such a fun way and we are looking forward to doing it again next year!
